Earlier Kapil Sibal had announced that the upgraded version of Aakash tablet will be available in April but today he said they will be available in May. The union minister for Human Resource development said that Aakash 2 is currently being tested by student and will soon go into production phase.
Aakash 2 will notably fix issues of battery. It will have a longer battery life compared to Aakash. The device will sport a capacitive touch screen and will also have a faster processor, though not as fast as the higher end tablets.
