Not very recently was Firefox at version 4. It stayed in beta for a very long time and then suddenly a burst of updates came which changed the numbers so fast that I don't even remember using Firefox 5, 6, 7, or 8. I used Firefox 9 though and even Firefox 10. And now Firefox 11 has been released.
It was released for release channel users on march 13th (yesterday) but seems now everyone can download it.
The big feature that is listed on top of the list is the ability to import bookmarks, history and cookies from rival web browser Chrome. The Sync feature now syncs your add-ons too. That is one handy feature.
The HTML5 web player controls have been redesigned. I watched the introductory video and the player seemed good.
Major changes come for developers, such as the view source option will now parse the web page in HTML5. A CSS style editor is available.
I love Firefox and will keep loving it.
